Nancy O'Dell's career began in Myrtle Beach South Carolina as an anchor and reporter for news with WPDE-TV. Later, she worked at WCBD as a morning anchor and crime reporter. In Charleston O'Dell's reports about the relaxed approach police take towards DUI cases caused the launch of a State Law Enforcement Division investigation that resulted in states authorities again releasing the strictest guidelines regarding these instances. Ms. O'Dell received recognition from The Associated Press with the Best Report of the Year Awards to all media South Carolina. O'Dell was then employed by the Miami-based station of NBC WTVJ-TV as a investigative reporter and anchor, prior to her joining Access Hollywood in the role of co-anchor for the weekend. O'Dell's current role as host of Access Hollywood is complemented by her work on NBC News Today, Dateline NBC, and NBC News. She's been a reporter for The Oscars The Emmys The Grammys The Golden Globe Awards and co-hosted numerous pre-show arrivals show to The Emmys And The Golden Globes.
